The Riviera Maya is a beautiful tourist region located on the eastern coast of Mexico, in the state of Quintana Roo, in the eastern part of the Yucatán Peninsula.
Is RM the Same as Cancún?
Although Cancún is a city and the Riviera Maya is a region, they are often used interchangeably in the tourist context due to their proximity and popularity. Usually, Cancún is more visited than the RM, but both places offer interesting ecotourism options and experiences that will undoubtedly fascinate you. While the former is known for its all-inclusive resorts, the Riviera Maya offers a much more natural environment.
